ClassOfWorker.zip - 12 KB 4/14/2006. These spreadsheets outline Current Population Survey (CPS) data for agricultural and nonagricultural workers in each state for 2003 and 2004. For both groups of workers there are breakdowns between self-employed, and wage and salary workers. Keep in mind that the CPS is a household, or place of residence, survey rather than an employer, or place of work, survey. As a result CPS data will be different from Current Employment Statistics (CES) or Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW) data. The CPS counts people, while CES and QCEW count jobs.
